LITTLE STORY / 01 · THINKING

Find the small certainty.

A gentler way to begin unfamiliar puzzles, from waterlines to a street of tiny houses.

A complicated-looking board often contains one wonderfully ordinary fact. Start there. You do not need to understand the whole solution before making your first useful observation.

Give every clue a job.

In Pearl Aquarium, water stays level inside a room and rises from its bottom. A row total counts water squares across different rooms. Those are two descriptions of the same board: use one to narrow the possibilities in the other.

Logic Letterbox works differently. Its clues relate house positions, colours and pets. A colour directly beside a pet does not mean they share a house. Translate each sentence carefully before choosing values.

Test the rule, not the picture.

Whirlpool Pearls asks for one connected loop. A white pearl requires a straight passage with a neighbouring turn; a black pearl requires a turn with straight passages on both sides. An attractive loop can still break either condition.

Velvet Ripples uses the size of each room and the distance between repeated numbers. Moonlit Capsules instead prevents equal numbers touching in any of eight directions. Their similar-looking grids conceal genuinely different questions.

Make an experiment small enough to undo.

Change one thing, observe the result and decide what it taught you. Wonderworks gives you Undo as well as Restart. A failed Check leaves a deduction puzzle open so that you can revise it.

You can watch a legal automatic preview before playing. It is a demonstration rather than a personal result. If a different kind of attention sounds better, leave the puzzle and choose something else.
