THE IDEA.

Toggle starting seeds on the 5×5 tray. Every generation is simultaneous: a live cell survives with two or three neighbours; an empty cell is born with exactly three. Neighbours include diagonals; the tray does not wrap. Grow twice to compare with the visible target. Edit starting seeds returns to your starting arrangement.

Pause, restart and adjust effects inside the player. Automatic previews never save results. Your progress shows its save status while you play.
